So much more that you can only experience to appreciate
CompuServe's legendary Anime/Manga Forum in it's hay-day was 'the' gathering place on the net for newbies and long-time otaku to meet and do the things otaku do. For anyone who had a chance to visit the forum at it's height, chances are the experiance was one that they will never forget.
In this day-and-age, service provider-based forums are a bit of a dinosaure of the 'old' internet, because it's incredibly simple to integrate aspects of forums into site now. But, some will argue that the true experience of an Internet family comes from a forum regardless of what service it is on.
For many of us, a visit to the Anime/Manga Forum is a trip back to our early day's of fandom. And the good news is that the forum is still around and anyone can access it now if they fire up their browser.
