Animefringe: June 2001

Animefringe at E3? No, you didn't take a trip to The Twilight Zone. Though you might think that after reading the Sailor Moon la Saban: Debunked article. No, it's all really happening and coolest of all, one of Animefringe's team members, Diana Kou, has scored the lead role of Noelle in Digital Manga's dub of Tenshi ni Narumon. Isn't that just too cool? Dai's even got a diary up at her personal site: Diana Kou.com. On that note, let's start with a list of winners for last month's Peach Girl manga giveaway: Alana Caldwell (Cupertino, CA, USA), Amy Yuk Sze Chan (Jackson Heights, NY, USA), Carolyn Hasys (Toledo, OH, USA), Andre Michael Richard (Miamichi, New Brunswick, Canada), Amanda Stepp (Morehead, KY, USA), Dustin Nastaj (Cedar Springs, MI, USA)

Editorial: Chasing Otakuism - Every Dark Cloud has a Silver Lining

Couldn't get enough of the E3 article? Well, Jake's back in full editorial swing this month with a look at what he thinks gamers must want based on what he saw and played at the expo. Nah, this isn't your standard run of the mill look at what he thinks is hot... this is a bizarre trip into the problems of the video gaming industry and why fans should go stone some people. Anime Briefs

Who would have thought TOKYOPOP would acquire so much stuff? They've got a bunch of cool CDs planned, they've got some popular anime series in the works, and they've got some killer manga set for release. Interesting. Oh, yeah... the new version of EX may finally be nearing completion.
