Animefringe Web Showcase for May 2002:
Zoids Command Center
http://zoidsfan.jerrydreiss.com/
Site By Jerry Dreiss
Adam:
"The explosion of Zoids! on Cartoon Network and in toy stores all of a sudden is really surprising. Especially, when I came to realise that Zoids! was such an old concept. The Zoids Command Center helped me to understand that. Heck, thanks to this site I realized that I have two classic Techno Zoids in my closet collecting dust. Sure, the site isn't flashy and could be reworked a bit in terms of navigation, but I have to admit it sure has some good content. From classic 80s toys, to bootlegs, to info on the anime... This site has a bit of everything and it's a true hidden gem for any hardcore Zoids fan."
Steve:
"Zoids -- prolific little mecha model thingies that called the 80's their home. I was more of a LEGO kid myself, but it would seem that they've made something of a comeback. Cool.
Well, speaking from a design perspective as I always do in these showcase reviews, I found this site horribly drab. Sure, all the information is there and relatively easy to navigate, but it's all so basic and banal. My advice to the webmaster: 'Don't just build your website.. BRING IT TO LIFE!"
Patrick:
"This simple yet comprehensive site shows you just how far the Zoids rabbit hole goes. It has a number of good links, information on the history of Zoids, and even images of Zoids bootlegs! If you consider yourself a fan of the show, then you can measure your devotion by comparing yourself to Jerry Dreiss. And if you're not satisfied with all the info you find at this site, it's part of the Zoids webring, so there's plenty more Zoids lovin' to be found."
