Animefringe Web Showcase for August 2002:
Dai Bouken's Fruits Basket

Adam:
"I must say I learned a lot about not only Fruits Basket but also Japanese culture by visiting this site. Little things like how the title of the anime is related to a children's game or what's the whole deal with Junishi. Aside from all the cool information presented here, there are also some cool goodies to look for as well. Stuff like mp3s of the themes can be downloaded as well as some nice wallpapers, though it would have been nice if the wallpapers were a little bigger. Overall, this site really increased my desire to see this series when FUNimation finally brings it over."

Patrick:
"Prior to checking out this site, I knew absolutely nothing about Fruits Basket. Now, I find myself strangely intrigued by this pretty shoujo series... The design is clean and organized, and my only real gripe is the host, Geocities. Someone should do us all a favor and offer to host this nifty fan site! "

Dillon:
"This is truly one of the few really solid anime websites I've encountered in recent times. The site is a solid cut-above most anime series-centered sites, for not only does it deal with giving story synopses and character bios, the site offers important cultural information that makes the show more enjoyable; namely, a detailed explanation of the Chinese Zodiac, as well as details of the curse that afflicts the Souma family. When paired along with such essentials as manga translations, the webmistress has created a solid website that is truly deserving of covering such a remarkable series as Fruits Basket."
